Rockets Top Chippewa Falls

In what ended up being the final game of the 2019-20 season Neenah defeated Chippewa Falls 49-47 Thursday night at Marshfield HS. The game was a WIAA Division 1 Sectional semi-final contest. Late Thursday night the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association announced the cancellation of the 2019-20 season because of public health concerns associated with the Wuhan Chinese Virus.

The victory had earned the Rockets a berth in a WIAA Division 1 Sectional final against FVA conference rival Kimberly. A trip to the 2020 State Tournament in Madison would have been on the line in the game that was scheduled for 1pm on Saturday at Appleton North HS.
